This book is written for those who have no previous bookkeeping or accounting training and who wish to become familiar with the basic procedures and concepts of acounting. The text first presents accounting concepts in a simple framework, then applies these concepts and procedures to somewhat more complex business situations. Each new subject introduced is related to material just learned to maximixe transfer of learning. Discussion questions at the end of each chapter offer ample opportunity to explore reasons for procedures and concepts discussed. Workbook problem materials are directly related to the chapter discussions. Appropiate forms of the workbook and the supplementary problems are included in the workbook.
